Deb's Lunch ... and Dinner and Breakfast too

I shaved my legs ….

May 2, 2018 by ds83473@gmail.com

So I could go barelegged, because it was almost 80° by the time I was biking home yesterday. But then it was cool enough this morning to wear leggings.

Still wearing leggings in May

It was cooler because we had the first thunderstorm of the season last night, not counting the misplaced thunderstorms in February, on election day.

And the basement leaked, despite the $1100 swale I had dug last fall.

But only a three-towel-sop-up job, and when I biked to work I saw that it was really kind of a lot of rain – enough to make trenches in the new mulch, and to wash the dead rabbit that had been in the gutter on the 1800 block yesterday into the middle of the street. So maybe an acceptable amount of water to come into the basement. I guess I’ll just have to see if we get the crazy 3 inches of rain in an hour storms this July, like we had last year.

Coming up in my back yard

And with the rain, even brown thumb gardeners like me get flowers sometimes. I think these are called Dutchman’s Britches. The bleeding hearts I put in years ago never came up.
