Deb's Lunch ... and Dinner and Breakfast too

Didn’t quite make it

December 16, 2018 by ds83473@gmail.com

To the end of my list of cookie kinds to make, that is. No almond rainbow bars.

Here’s what I had by Wednesday. The chocolate toffee bars look blurry, but I made another batch Sunday (a.k.a. post-party, but more on that in a minute.)

Raspberry almond bars, good batch this year. Peppermint pattie brownies – all gone now, but I’m going to make the layered white chocolate peppermint bark sometime between now and Christmas, for another peppermint thing. Springerle – the texture wasn’t right, they’re too soft, but they tasted OK. Coconut cookies. Relaxing after baking on a Saturday night. Pine nut macaroons, just under 5 dozen this year. Linzer thumbprints. Sambuca crinkles that didn’t really crinkle, but were still dense and chocolate-y. Crystallized ginger cookies. Pistachio cranberry slice & bakes.

And I will make the almond rainbow bars before Christmas.
