Deb's Lunch ... and Dinner and Breakfast too

Recent Cooking Adventures

August 25, 2019 by ds83473@gmail.com

Monday I made a pie. Tuesday Mark and I ate some of it for dinner, with ice cream. Thursday I took the last of it to work, and brought home the empty pie dish.

Peach, plum, cherry pie

Wednesday I made a test batch of Mexican chocolate rice pudding that was the dessert for the Eat Smart in Mexico dinner Saturday. The recipe I used, from Eat Smart in Mexico, is the same but 2 cans of sweetened condensed milk.

I didn’t take any pictures. We served it in little mason jars, Ed made candied orange peel to garnish, and I made Windmill Cookies to go with.

Rachael got here Thursday, Emma’s birthday. Emma stopped by and we sampled a bit of the pudding. After we went grocery shopping, and ate various forms of cucumber sandwiches for dinner.

Friday I had salad with croutons and goat cheese and cherries for dinner.

Sunday morning I had indulgent oatmeal with dates, banana, and a drizzle each of maple syrup and heavy cream.

And here’s what the garage looked like Monday, when they took the forms off the cement. But no one’s been here the rest of the week to do anything. At least we could park in the driveway.
