Deb's Lunch ... and Dinner and Breakfast too

Self indulgence

March 4, 2020 by ds83473@gmail.com

On Valentine’s Day, I found out that I was getting a raise. I did the lengthy application and put in to get what’s called the Distinguished Prefix, a recognition of my 20+ years of work on the UW-Madison campus. I wasn’t at all sure I’d get it, and it also seems like it’s going away due to big TTC (Title & Total Compensation Project) that’s been going on at UW for forever the last 3 years or so. I think, since I’ve got the prefix, I will be grandmothered in, be able to keep the prefix, and the 5% raise that goes with, even after TTC goes into effect in June. Fingers crossed.

Anyways, since the getting the raise, I have indulged in a few purchases, that looking back on it, add up to almost $500 worth of stuff, for me. “For me-e-e, only for me”

Two pairs of Sorel boots

Water proof and dressier – grey Chelsea bots

5 Old Navy leggings

$47 for 5 pairs so about $9 each

Wore all new bottom half on Thursday

3 dresses to go with, from J Jill

Le Creuset cast iron frying pan. I’ve been wanting another cast iron pan since December.

For making the King Arthur pan pizza – My other cast iron pan is too small; only 9in. This is 10.25

I guess I’m a horrible person, or maybe just pumping up the economy. Everything was “on sale” and I recycled all the plastic and paper things came in.

Hammie’s the featured image so the mighty Khan gets to close the post.
