\"\"So I’ve been feeling guilty for not writing and not photographing food and feeling like I must’ve never<\/em> been this bad before, but I was looking at last fall, and I didn’t even take a picture of the pies I made for Pie Palooza, which (it says on the website) were Gluten-free Corn & Pepper Jack Quiche w\/ Sweet Potato Leek Crust. I think I only made 3 or 4, and I mainly remember that I baked them in foil 8- or 9-inch cake pans, rather than pie pans. I remember also not being super thrilled with them, but they did get eaten. The grated sweet potato crust was good, as I recall.<\/p>\n

What we’re looking at across the top is a Google image search on DebsLunch and pie. It does make me feel like I have baked and photographed a lot of pie, but I still don’t have much in the way of nice pictures to post tonight.<\/p>\n

At the end of last week I went to Minnesota for their state library conference – the iSchool had a booth. The conference was in Rochester, which is a slightly weird place because its entire economy is based on sick people – the Mayo Clinic. The downtown is all on ramps – the Skyway – and tunnels – the Subway. I was pretty confused because people kept telling me to go to the entrance of the Subway, and I was like, “but I don’t want to take the subway”, until I figured out that it’s literally the sub-way, the tunnels. It sure explained why there weren’t any visible ramps going to my hotel – it was on the Subway.<\/p>\n

Stand-up Bucky at the booth. I cut my finger putting it up the first morning – Mark says he thinks I do that every time –  and needed to buy bandaids – that’s when I was directed to the drugstore at the entrance to the Subway.<\/p><\/div>\n

Yogurts and granola for continental breakfast at the library conference – really nice idea, but they look better than they tasted. I didn’t take one the second day<\/p><\/div>
\nYea Rochester was a little weird. God save me from spending my last days getting pushed around in a wheel chair at the shopping mall in the ramps, lime so many I saw when I was there. <\/p>\n

On Saturday I left meatloaf for supper cooking on timer and we went to see Blade Runner 2049. We ate dinner at about 8:45 – it’s a long movie. Roasted broccoli and mashed potatoes with the meatloaf.<\/p>\n

Sunday afternoon, I went into the office to work, and when I was walking home the engineering building was reflective.<\/p>\n
