Today I made the brunch that I probably would have made last Sunday for Mother’s Day, if I hadn’t been at the iSchool graduation instead.<\/p>\n

Asparagus tart – with ramps and a shallot that had been in the bottom of the veggie drawer for months, and a little bit of goat cheese. Rhubarb muffins<\/a>. Bacon. Roasted potatoes, purchased at Farmers Market yesterday from Driftless Organics<\/a>, and roasted in chicken fat from a Matt Smith’s<\/a> Farmers Market chicken purchased the week before. Actually almost everything was from the market – potatoes, eggs, asparagus, rhubarb.<\/p>\n

After brunch I worked a bit and then biked to the WORT block party to see the Gabe Burdulis<\/a> Band. I’m pretty sure he’s the kid of someone I know.<\/p>\n

Then the big GoT finale – after reading all kinds of theories as to how it would all play out, I was pretty surprised at who ended up on the Iron Throne and who killed who. I think I’m going to watch it again, Monday.<\/p>\n

I don’t think I’m going to go back and binge watch the whole series, although I have a list of the 15 best episodes, not sure where on the Internetz it’s from, that I may delve into. We did re-watch Battle of the Bastards #2 on the list of 15, Saturday night in anticipation of the finale. And for true over the top-ness, here’s all 72 episodes<\/a>, ranked. I confess to saving this list as a .pdf, like just in case, for future reference.<\/p>\n
