The texture and everything look fine &#8211; I think I&#8217;ll still be able to serve it, but it&#8217;s disappointing.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Last year this day I was in Seattle, at the end of my one month sabbatical there, saying goodbye to my brother&#8217;s house and dog and neighborhood. href=\"https:\/\/debslunch.com\/new-recipes\/2018\/05\/12\/apricot-white-chocolate-chip-scones\/\">apricot-white chocolate scones<\/a> with a white chocolate drizzle, a week ago Saturday, that Mark liked. We all did really. Belinda &amp; Stephen had their baby shower here this Sunday and I made desserts &#8211; cheese cake, one with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.debslunch.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/moravian-wood.jpg\">Moravian ginger thin crust<\/a>, and one with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.debslunch.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/cookies.jpg\">Windmill cookie crust<\/a> (that came out a little weird this year &#8211; I wasn&#8217;t sure I put in enough brown sugar and added it at the end and some of them had a kind of sugar swirl), made in quarter sheet pans and cut into squares; the fallen angel cake, above, all serve with a big bowl of Door County cherry sauce, and mascarpone whipped cream. And the last of the Pffernuse, retrieved from the freezer, and another King Arthur, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingarthurflour.com\/recipes\/choco-mallow-recipe\">choco-mallow<\/a>, kind of a rocky road fudge, that people got to late in the party but really liked.
